Canon EOS 40D in da house!
So I picked up my camera today from FedEx. It's pretty nice, but it'll take me awhile to learn the in's and out's. My 8 Gig CF card will arrive tomorrow so in the meantime I'm using an old 256 MB CF card. Good enough to play around with. I'll stick with the kit lens for now (28-135mm). Here's a test pic:

well done, test pictures should always be of pets / loved ones :)
I don't know if you've got one yet or now, but you should seriously consider getting a hot-shoe flash if you plan on doing ANY flash photography. It increaes the quality of your light, and therefore, the quality of your image, exponentially.
