Happy Father's Day!
So today is my first Father's Day where I am the father :)
My wife and daughter got me a nice digital photo frame:
I was actually thinking of getting one so I can have pictures of my family at work, so this was a nice surprise.
Yesterday, Jeff and Syd dropped by. I hadn't seen them for about 6 months. Jeff had been busy at work and with his band and the two of them just got from a long trip to Europe. The biggest surprise was that Jeff got a new car. He traded in his BMW 3-series and got a 2007 Porsche Cayman. I forgot to take a picture of the actual car, but it looks very similar to this (same color):
Jeff even let me take it around the block a couple of times. The clutch seemed a bit long and the shifter could have been a bit shorter, but the car is pretty cool and is a nice drive. This was the car I had thought about getting before it was available in the US. I think it looks better than the 911, but it is only a two seater. Since everyone seems to be getting new cars, it's almost time for me to get a new car.

Do you know what you'll get?
I've been wanting Airi to get a bigger SUV for our growing family, however, she wouldn't want to drive a big SUV on a daily basis. So I would be willing to go back to a SUV and have her drive a smaller car (she said she would take my car). The SUV I really like is the Lexus GX470. The only thing that prevents me from getting one right now is that the current model still has a tape deck and a disc changer in the glove box. If they had an in-dash cd changer, I would have traded her RX300 in already :P
So in the meantime, I'm not in a hurry so I'll wait. I'd like it if the GX series had a hybrid or diesel option.
